Looking to reseed your lawn or patch up some areas?
Fall in the best time to seed, as grass is a cool weather plant that will germinate and grow better with early fall rains and cooler temperatures.
Make sure you use the correct type of seed, based upon the amount of sun, heat, foot traffic. Using the correct type of seed is also important if over-seeding the type of grass that is already established.
It is important to use a good starter fertilizer when planting grass seed. A slow release fertilizer with phosphorus and potash (potassium) is recommended. Flowerland carries all mixes!
Water properly and never let the soil dry out during germination…but don’t over-water either!
