Christmas is almost here!

What a whirlwind the last week has been! I can’t believe Christmas is just a few days away. Where has the time gone? At least our Christmas tree is up. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a fan of the fresh cut tree. Last Saturday, my friends at Flowerland helped my little “Mrs. Claus” (and her daddy) pick out the perfect tree – a Fraser Fir. (It is beautiful by itself. Thanks, guys!) Then it was time to decorate.

My DecoMesh Tree...Not bad, if I do say so myself!
My DecoMesh Tree…Not bad, if I do say so myself!

This year I decided to try something new. Instead of regular garland, I used DecoMesh and I have to say, it looks pretty good. It really wasn’t that hard. After I put on the lights, I started at the top of the tree. I wrapped the end of the DecoMesh with some dark green pipe cleaner, attached to an inside branch (tucking in the edge) then started going around the tree. Every foot or so, I tied and tucked in. One 10″ wide roll was all I used for my size tree and I was surprised at how easy the DecoMesh was to manipulate.

Once the DecoMesh was on, “Mrs. Claus” and I added the ornaments (she “directed,” I hung). It is a Christmas memory I hope she will always remember.

If you haven’t put your tree up or decorated yet, A) what are you waiting for? and B) there’s still time…and there are a few very cool trees, ornaments and decorations available. (Can you say “Christmas Clearance”?) Holiday memories last a life time. Why not make a few to remember?

Wishing you and yours a safe and happy Holiday season!  Until next time…….
