Summertime Treats

Summer is a wonderful time to add some “eye candy” to your garden.  Here are some great ideas!

Meadow Sage 'Cardonna' is part of the Salvia family. It blooms in summer and fall, likes sun to part shade, and can grow 24 - 30 inches tall.

Think flowering bulbs only "light up" the spring? Think again. There are many beautiful summer flowering bulbs, too. This "Sunny Borneo" Lily blooms in the summer and is a great partner for Phlox. It like 8+ hours of sun, well-drained soil and can get 12 - 18 inches tall.

Looking for something that can hold up under 'foot traffic?' Check out Stepables White Diamond Sedum. This mid-summer bloomer features blue rosettes and white star-shaped flowers. It likes part to full sun and well-drained soil. This Stepable can also handle moderate foot traffic (1 - 2 times/day).

You can still add summer annuals to your garden. Just remember to water them on those hot, steamy days!
